Turkish League Round 1 September 13rd-14th
The new season started early with four games on Wednesday as the league will include fifteen teams after Hatay was granted the ability to pause their season after the earthquake affected their region and they got the bye in the first round. The first game of the season saw Kelsey Bone and Antalya defeat Jessica Thomas and Nesibe Aydin 67-58 as Destanni Henderson made her overseas debut. The scheduling threw out an opening matchup that most people would have preferred to see later in the first half of the season when both teams are closer to full strength, but Alina Iagupova torched her previous team only to see Fenerbahce come back late before losing to Cukurova 76-74. League newcomers Tarsus got a good game from Khadijiah Cave and started well, but Besiktas rallied behind Jovana Nogic and Mihaela Lazic made her professional debut in an 88-78 win. The last game of the day was also in Istanbul with Galatasaray winning 56-46 while Sevval Gul made her professional debut back in her home country for the visitors.
The rest of the games in the round were on Thursday, starting with Brooke McCarty-Williams and Cankaya University having the better start only to see Lyndra Weaver and Botas have the better of the rest of the game on their way to a 76-70 win. Damiris Dantas and Orman welcomed Izmit back to the top division with an 82-78 defeat, although Khaalia Hillsman had a strong game for the visitors. The combination of Claudic Cuic and Aaryn Ellenberg-Wiley led Kayseri to a 94-84 win over Madi Williams and Bursa.

French Match of Champions September 15th
The season opened on Friday with the traditional neutral site game between the defending league champions and the last cup winner. Lyon entered as the league winners, but injuries and other absences left them with only four senior players and they put up a decent fight, but Landes was far stronger in a 77-60 win.
