Cukurova asserted themselves early in Mersin on their way to a 77-57 win over Polkowice. The two remaining winless teams met and it was Destiny Slocum who made sure that Gyor would get on the board first, defeating Landes 79-66. Villeneuve-d’Ascq handed Virtus Bologna their first loss 78-62. That set up the last game of the day in Salamanca as USK Praha was able to get Nyara Sabally in the lineup for her first game in her return to Europe and their 64-53 win over Avenida moved them into the top spot.

French Cup Round of 32

The second round of the cup was played this week after the twelve second division teams had previously played the first round. The four teams in the top division not in continental competition enter in this round with the five winners set to be joined by the five EuroCup teams in the next round with the three EuroLeague teams joining in the quarterfinals. Teams from the second division are marked with *.

On Tuesday, Toulouse, which is trying to bounce back up to the top division next season, found themselves well below that standard when Dominique Malonga powered Tarbes to an 81-57 win. Chartres was the first team to upset a top division team, edging Landerneau 72-70. Charnay avoided the same fate in Graffenstaden, defeating Strasbourg 67-59. On Wednesday, Saint-Amand put their league troubles behind them early, but did have to hold their nerve before Maud Stervinou finished leading them to an 83-61 win over Reims. Voiron started strong in the battle of two second division teams, but Nice had the better of the rest of the game and won 72-67.
