On Friday, Anneli Maley crashed the boards early for Perth on their way to an 85-71 win over Sydney, which got an overseas debut from DiDi Richards. On Saturday, Zitina Aokuso and new-look Townsville defeated Bendigo 93-80. Bec Cole’s efforts were not enough for Southside against their neighbors Melbourne, losing 77-70. Canberra was the last team to make their debut on Sunday, but a good game from Alex Sharp was not enough with the duo of Isobel Borlase and Isabelle Bourne getting Adelaide the 82-79 win.
