The round started on Wednesday with Emily Potter and Miela Goodchild helping Perth take the early lead, but Southside roared back in the second half and handed the visitors their first loss 94-92. Thursday’s game was an easy 74-51 win for Townsville over Jocelyn Willoughby and Adelaide. On Saturday, Bendigo picked up their first win 82-66 over Sydney. Amy Atwell had a good game for Perth, but they lost to Townsville 92-76. On Sunday, Canberra was looking for the upset and their first win, but even the trio of Jade Melbourne, Alex Sharp, and Alex Fowler could not help them prevail in overtime and Naz Hillmon made sure that Melbourne stayed undefeated 87-81.
