The first round-robin is nearly complete in China and there was more action at the top of the standings this week. Jiangsu lost to Sichuan, falling a game behind the visitors and Inner Mongolia. The battle for a bye in the playoffs rages on with Guangdong joined by Shanxi and Zhejiang. The four teams behind them will be looking to move closer to them as their playoff spots seem relatively secure, but there is another group of five teams behind them fighting for two playoff spots, leaving four teams needing something special in the second half of the regular season to extend their campaigns.
