EuroLeague Round 9 December 12th-13th

Group A:

After absences robbed the first two meetings of any competitiveness, both teams were a little closer to their planned rosters in the only Tuesday game. After an even first half, Fenerbahce built a small lead behind Natasha Howard and Kayla McBride, but Lyon kept fighting back, taking the lead before the last quarter and then pushing out the margin for an 89-81 win, handing the visitors their first loss and keeping their hopes alive for a miracle finish. Valencia took care of business on Wednesday with a 87-60 win over Kylee Shook and Lublin. Robyn Parks and Schio kept their cushion for the last quarterfinals spot with an 88-72 win over Morgan Green and Sepsi. The two pleasant surprises this season met in Zaragoza and the hosts prevailed 70-68 in overtime, but could not flip the tiebreaker against DVTK to their advantage.
