Hungarian League Round 17 January 12th-14th

This round started on Friday with Monika Czinano and MTK defeating Franka Toth and BEAC 96-75. Saturday’s game saw Gyor defeat Szekszard 78-54. Sunday’s first game was an intriguing matchup in Miskolc that saw DVTK stay perfect with a 71-65 win, although Sopron showed that they will still be dangerous during the playoffs. Cegled made another signing to try to get out of last place, but lost to Vasas 75-60. Peyton Williams and PEAC rolled past Szigetszentmiklos 94-61.

Turkish League Round 20 January 13th-14th

Another round started on Saturday but Bursa completing their latest lineup change did not help in an 85-54 loss to Marina Mabrey and Cukurova. Khaalia Hillsman and Jaime Nared helped Izmit take advantage of shorthanded opposition to roll to a 91-70 win. Michaela Onyenwere and Orman finished the day with a 79-70 win over Nesibe Aydin. Sunday started with Destanni Henderson and Kelsey Bone leading Antalya in a big second half that let them edge Gintare Petronyte, Claudia Cuic, and Kayseri 81-80. Julie Vanloo and Myisha Hines-Allen were a potent combination for Galatasaray in an 82-77 win as Lyndra Weaver and Natasha Mack had strong games for a Botas team chasing the playoffs from the outside now. Hatay is playing out the string at this point, dressing seven players and playing their starters for the entire game with Oyku Canliel putting in her best effort in their 126-67 loss to Fenerbahce, which rotated heavily to give Tilbe Senyurek, Nikolina Milic, and Kitija Laksa big opportunities. Li Yueru could not be stopped in the paint and Besiktas closed out the day with a 92-57 win over Shatori Walker-Kimbrough and Cankaya University.

French League Round 13 January 13th-14th

The first game of the round was on Saturday with Landes defeating Tiffany Clarke and Roche 66-56. Masseny Kaba and Angers had the lead in the first half, but Lyon recovered in the second half for an 82-66 win. Carla Leite led Tarbes in a 76-67 win over Shakayla Thomas and Charnay. Saint-Amand was sent into overtime by Charleville-Mezieres after a fantastic start, but LaDazhia Williams helped them prevail 71-65. Janelle Salaun and Villeneuve-d’Ascq won the first game on Sunday 83-75 over Romane Bernies and Lattes Montpellier. Nausia Woolfolk and Landerneau stunned Alix Duchet and Bourges 82-73 in the last game, sinking the hosts back into a three-way tie at the top of the standings.

The round started on Saturday with the battle of the first place and last place teams that went about as expected with Polkowice rolling 94-62 against Pruszkow. Lexi Held fired Sleza Wroclaw past Mikayla Vaughn and Poznan 75-64. On Sunday, Kylee Shook led Lublin past La Mama Kapinga Maweja and Torun 90-68. Chloe Bibby helped Gorzow edge Rennia Davis and Arka Gdynia 75-73 to keep the top of the standings a two-horse race for now. Kayla Wells tired to get Polonia Warszaw a win that would have greatly helped their playoff ambitions, but Zaglebie Sosnowiec held on to an 86-81 win.

Spanish League Round 17 January 13th-14th

Half of the games in this round were on Saturday, starting with Leonie Fiebich leading Zaragoza to an 85-71 win over Marnelle Garraud and Bembibre. It took overtime for Gernika to get past Stephanie Mawuli and Estudiantes 76-71. Both teams made changes ahead of the last game of the day and Valencia did not look like the league leaders early before defeating Gran Canaria 73-60. Maria Almendro and Ibaeta defeated their neighbors Araski 73-47 on Sunday. A new signing for Jairis proved to be the difference in Murcia in their 75-73 win over Ferrol. The two teams in the last safe spots played and Celta pulled even with Barcelona after a 73-66 win to keep them both up two games in the loss column. Girona ended the day with a crushing 74-47 win over Ensino.
