EuroLeague Round 12
Group A:
A busy Wednesday started with Fenerbahce continuing their quest for the top spot with a 72-61 win over Lublin. Valencia knew that qualification would be tough, but stayed in the picture and sent a message to their domestic rivals Zaragoza with an 85-56 win. Lyon did not take it easy after being eliminated, but Arella Guirantes and Schio did eventually leave with a 90-83 win to maintain their edge. One game was played on Thursday in Miskolc and DVTK knew that a win would clinch their spot in the quarterfinals, but eliminated Sepsi was not making it easy early before Milica Jovanovic helped the hosts win 72-54 and continue their dream season.

Group B:
All the games in this group were on Wednesday and Cukurova missed out on being to officially clinch a spot by a single point, but did defeat Virtus Bologna 64-61. That result opened the door for Polkowice to end the round in one of the quarterfinals places, but eliminated Gyor got an absolutely brilliant performance from Bridget Carleton to win 91-80. Villeneuve-d’Ascq certainly had more at stake against USK Praha and Kennedy Burke led them to a 90-81 win and put them all alone in third place ahead of the last two rounds. Avenida did not look their strongest in the first half against eliminated Landes, but dominated the second half for a 69-44 win.

EuroCup Round of 16 Game 2
January 17
Three series concluded on Wednesday and there was no drama in Girona as the 5 seeded hosts quickly extended their lead and a 68-39 win was enough for a 136-91 final margin against their neighbors and the 12 seed Sedis. 14 seed Arka Gdynia did cut into the lead early, but 3 seed Reyer led most of the game and their 80-59 win pushed the final margin to 157-127. Artemis Spanou and top seed Bourges faced a deficit at home, but had wiped it out after the first quarter. Dana Evans and 16 seed Besiktas fought back, keeping the margin favorable for the rest of the way so that even a 79-76 loss allowed them to complete the upset on aggregate 159-153.

A busy Thursday included 20 seed Gorzow cutting into their deficit immediately behind Elena Tsineke and Chloe Bibby with Weronika Telenga grabbing all the boards. Julie Vanloo made sure that 4 seed Galatasaray limited the damage and losing 91-85 still gave them a comfortable enough 172-164 aggregate win. The game in Riga was close early with 11 seed Roche trying their best to cut into a large gap, but the 6 seed built the game lead in the second half and a 69-61 win for the hosts meant a big 156-131 final margin. Whichever team won in Pecs would be the lowest remaining seed and Gintare Petronyte and 26 seed Kayseri built on their existing lead early before the 23 seed PEAC fought back, but a 72-70 win for the hosts still left them short 146-137 overall. 2 seed London Lions quickly expanded their lead and coasted past 15 seed Gernika 87-59 for a 163-128 final margin. 24 seed Dinamo Sassari lost at home, but took a solid lead into halftime before 8 seed Lattes Montpellier rallied behind Alisia Jenkins and Marieme Badiane to win the game 79-69, pushing the final margin to 148-135.
