Women’s College Basketball Players Rankings – Class by Class! Week 12

This past week was filled with many excellent games. There were games in which history was involved as #15 Notre Dame defeated #8 UConn on the road to hand UConn it’s first loss of the season. These two teams have a historic rivalry and Notre Dame has won two straight and 4 of the last 7 meetings. All-time, UConn leads the series 39-15. Then, there was #1 South Carolina who defeated #9 LSU on the road. This game came down to the final minute in which South Carolina’s Bree Hall hit a go-ahead 3 pointer and South Carolina was able to win. This game attracted 1.56 million viewers on ESPN and was the second-highest rated women’s college basketball game since 2010. Not bad for the defending NCAA champion versus the #1 overall team.
