EuroCup Semifinals Game 1

The semifinals started on Wednesday on the side of the bracket that was held seeding. 2 seed London Lions heard bad news before the game about next season, but Temi Fagbenle and company had a dominant second quarter to build a solid lead at halftime only to see 3 seed Reyer finish the second half strong to only lose 69-68. The other series started on Thursday and 16 seed Besiktas was looking to pull off another seeding upset with a good home start. They built a lead several times only to see 5 seed Girona fight back, but Dana Evans and Li Yueru helped them make the final surge in the fourth quarter for an 81-60 win.

Polish League Semifinals Game 2

Both series continued on Thursday with the home teams hoping that the last game was not their best chance at an upset as they tried to stay in championship contention while the road teams were looking to avoid another game before the finals. Brianna Fraser and Polkowice quickly built a lead and Angel Baker’s good game could not get Sleza Wroclaw any closer than a 98-77 loss. Rennia Davis and Arka Gdynia had the lead they needed in the first half, but Chloe Bibby and Gorzow did enough in the second half to win 73-66.
