Hungarian League Game 2

Cegled finally got a win on a full Saturday of games with Lili Rakita leading them past Szigetszentmiklos 70-56. The quarterfinals also continued with teams looking to force a deciding game or to complete a sweep. Sopron is looking like a contender down the stretch as Vivien Borondy led them past PEAC 79-60 for the sweep. Gyor had no trouble advancing past Vasas with an 88-48 win. Panka Dul and MTK looked ready to tie their series, but Kathryn Westbeld and Szekszard pulled away in the second half for an 83-75 win. Top seed DVTK also advanced easily after Milica Jovanovic led them in an 87-47 win over BEAC.

Italian League Round 23

All of the games in this round were on Saturday, starting in Sassari with Ashley Joens leading the hosts in an 81-63 win over Maddie Garrick and Brixia. Schio broke open a close game against Ragusa in the second half for a 76-60 win. The top seed is still very much up for grabs after Bologna’s 63-51 at Venezia. Campobasso defeated Battipaglia 59-52 and Sesto San Giovanni defeated Faenza. Leia Dongue and Oxygen Roma stayed in the playoff picture after an 87-84 win over Lidija Turcinovic, Rae Lin D’Alie, and San Martino di Lupari.

French League Round 21

With the end of the regular season approaching, all of the games in this round were simultaneous tipoffs on Saturday. Tarbes started well, but lost to Bourges 82-75. Lattes Montpellier rallied in the second half for an 87-84 win over Tiffany Clarke and Roche. Charleville-Mezieres defeated Leila Lacan and Angers 78-69. A battle of teams at the top of the standings saw Kariata Diaby and Villeneuve-d’Ascq prevail 84-81 over Luisa Geiselsoder and Landes. Lyon made as many changes to their roster as they could with more players confirmed done for the season, but lost to Amy Okonkwo and Landerneau 69-59. Shakayla Thomas led Charnay in a 96-73 win over Saint-Amand.
