The final day of competition on Sunday started with the bronze medal game and both teams put on a show. The duo of Julie Vanloo and Emma Meesseman led Belgium again, but Ezi Magbegor was incredible, helping Australia to the 85-81 win. That set the stage for the gold medal game, a great matchup with France fueled by the home fans and the United States trying to continue their dominance. The game was close throughout, but the United States held the edge late paced by A’ja Wilson and then they just held on after a last shot that was nearly from far enough away to tie the game, winning 67-66.
