The consolation semifinals were played first on Friday and Bolivia had a good start, but Paloma Niz and Paraguay had the better of the rest of the game on the way to an 84-77 win. Hosts Chile took care of business in the next game with a 62-44 win over Ecuador.

Championship Bracket
The winners of the semifinals would get the first two spots available for next year’s Americas championship. Colombia had been impressive in winning their group, but earned the privilege of facing defending champions Brazil, losing to Izabela Nicoletti and company 91-51. Venezuela, which finished second in that group, almost pulled off a seeding upset behind Mariana Duran, but Florencia Chagas helped Argentina get the 69-66 win.
