The three qualification series for the last spots in the regular season started this week with the other games being played next week. The scores of the two games will be combined to determine a winner with overtime settling any tie after the second game. The six teams had been divided into seeded and unseeded teams with the seeded teams getting to host the second game.
One series tipped on Tuesday and Constanta hosted after an excellent season in Romania. The score was tied at halftime, but Zaragoza pulled away in the second half for a 75-57 win behind Markeisha Gatling, also getting a good professional debut from Helena Pueyo after she signed back in her home country. On Wednesday, Brno tried to return to the biggest stage and edged their way to a 67-66 win at home even though Marena Whittle had a strong game for Szekszard and Sara Bejedi and Precious Johnson made their professional debuts. The last series started in Istanbul and Besiktas was missing three WNBA players, but Khaalia Hillsman tried to give them a chance only to see Landes leave with an 84-70 win.
