EuroLeague Qualifiers Game 2 September 24th-25th

The three series concluded this week with the winners advancing to the regular season and the losers dropping down to EuroCup. Landes already had a substantial lead from the road game so an 80-58 win eliminated Besiktas 164-128. The other game on Tuesday was also unlikely to affect the result and Zaragoza coasted to a 71-52 win over Constanta to advance 146-109. The one series that was expected to still be competitive was on Wednesday and lived up to expectations. Szekszard appeared to be doing enough at home behind Marena Whittle and Sara Bejedi, but Brno roared back in the fourth quarter and Petra Zaplatova and Elissa Cunane got them the 80-73 win that pushed the final margin out to 147-139 in their favor.
