The game in Helsinki would determine which team would sit in second place at this point and Slovenia got the benefits of naturalizing Jessica Shepard quickly after integrating her into the lineup in summer exhibitions, getting an 84-62 win over Finland. Hungary had the momentum of winning one of the summer tournaments to get spots in World Cup qualifying, but found themselves trailing big at halftime to Bulgaria, which had the newly naturalized Khaalia Hillsman alongside Borislava Hristova. Dorka Juhasz’s efforts were not enough for the hosts in Miskolc and they lost 83-68, but remain in first place.
