The round started on Wednesday with Alicia Froling and Courtney Woods leading Townsville in an 84-80 win over Miela Sowah and Perth. A former city rivalry was played on Thursday with the teams still relatively close to each other and Southside had the trio of Naz Hillmon, Alice Kunek, and Bec Cole firing, but Geelong still won 90-87. Friday’s game was as not close with Sami Whitcomb and Marianna Tolo helping Bendigo roll past Jade Melbourne and Canberra 99-76. Bec Cole had another good game for Southside on Saturday in their 83-75 win over Cayla George and Sydney. Adelaide was led by the young duo of Isobel Borlase and Isabelle Bourne, but Perth left with a 92-78 win. There was no drama in Sunday’s game as Sami Whitcomb and Bendigo built up a big lead in the first half and coasted past Keely Froling and Geelong 95-78.
