Zaragoza had been hoping to break through in this regular season, but they lost to another team expected to finish below them after Laura Westerik led Gernika to a 73-70 win. Valencia continued to look strong in an 86-65 win over Ferrol. Avenida also took care of business with an 84-56 win over Angela Salvadores and Estudiantes. Over on Gran Canaria, the hosts defeated Ardoi 72-54. It took overtime to settle Ibaeta’s 77-73 win over Bella Murekatete and Sedis. The first game on Sunday had Jairis winning at Joventut Badalona 58-47. Girona looked to be cruising to keeping their undefeated record in Lugo, but Rachel Howard and Ensino forced overtime before Sandra Ygueravide and the visitors could finish off a 91-85 win.

The first game on Sunday would determine which team would be the surprise league leaders at this point and it was Charnay that got the 73-64 win over Angers. Luisa Geiselsoder led Landes in a 69-58 win over Chartres.

That let Polkowice take a two game lead on the field with a 91-75 win over Poznan behind Emma Cannon. Saturday’s first game had Taylor Soule and Zaglebie Sosnowiec getting a 72-64 win over Javyn Nicholson and Polonia Warszawa. Lauren Ebo and Tai’Sheka Porchia had good games for Bydgoszcz, but they are no closer to their first win after an 81-60 loss to Diamond Miller and Gorzow. Ruthy Hebard and Gdynia finished the day with an 88-76 win over La Mama Kapinga Maweja and Torun.
