Australian League Round 13
This round started on Wednesday and Shaneice Swain had an impressive shooting display for Sydney, but Courtney Woods and Townsville got the 89-75 win. Bendigo did not have the biggest win of their current run, but got past Adelaide 65-59 on Friday. The rest of the teams played on Saturday, including a battle of the Puoch sisters that Canberra won 94-79 with a Jade Melbourne triple-double. That result along with the other two games created a big tied for the last playoff spot. Sydney sits at the top of the tiebreaker even after losing to Miela Sowah, Laeticia Amihere, and Perth 105-83. Geelong sits at the bottom of that group after losing to Lauren Cox and Townsville 89-70.

Polish Cup
The cup competition was played this week starting with the first round on Thursday. The competition was at least adjusted to have Polkowice withdraw instead of getting easily defeated in their semifinal. The first game saw Shatori Walker-Kimbrough and Elena Tsineke lead Gorzow to an 83-64 win over Sleza Wroclaw in their bid to build some momentum for the rest of the season. The traditional format including an entrant from the second division was observed with Pruszkow getting to play a team they played last season before exiting the top division. Zaglebie Sosnowiec pushed their advantage inside with Kamila Borkowska on their way to a 97-66 win.
The two qualifiers that were the highest in the standings joined the competition in Friday’s semifinals. Stella Johnson was fantastic for Lublin and she and Laura Miskiniene helped them hold on to an 86-83 win over Gabby Nikitinaite and Zaglebie Sosnowiec. Diamond Miller and Elena Tsineke helped Gorzow make a major statement by knocking out the current league leaders Gdynia 86-66. That set up Saturday’s championship game and Diamond Miller and Gorzow built up a big lead by halftime, but the three games in the three days format had them needing to hold off the more rested Lublin team and another incredible game for Stella Johnson to win 86-81.

French League Round 14
This round started on Friday with Roche trying to climb out of the playdowns and getting good games from Brooke McCarty-Williams and Jade Phillips, but falling short against Charleville-Mezieres 76-71. A busy Saturday started with Bourges just doing enough late to win 60-59 at Tarbes. Marie-Paule Foppossi and Villeneuve-d’Ascq had an impressive comeback in the fourth quarter to send the game to overtime in the next game, but Ameryst Alston and Angers prevailed 79-73. Chartres was close to a big win only to fade again late and let Angel Baker and Landerneau leave with the 72-66 victory. Double-overtime was needed in Mont-de-Marsan for Leila Lacan and Destiny Slocum to help Landes put away Charnay 78-69. Elodie Naigre and Lattes Montpellier defeated Lyon 85-70.
