Hungarian League Round 17

Round 15 was finished on Wednesday with Sopron winning 87-41. Cegled’s schedule did not get any lighter in this round when they hosted Gyor on Saturday and Dara Mabrey’s efforts were not enough in a 100-69 loss to Reka Dombai and company. Julie Reisingerova and Lexi Held helped PEAC push Szekszard to the bottom of the top group of teams after a 97-67 win. MTK had an easy 75-37 win over Szigetszentmiklos. Darazsak is still searching for their first win after losing to BEAC 79-51. Sopron got a test from Vasas on Sunday, but won 73-59. Tyra Aho and DVTK rolled past David Kornei 101-56

Turkish League Round 19

This round started on Saturday with Fenerbahce not wanting to drop a game unnecessarily by rotating their foreign players too much, but even a stronger group had them losing again, this time to their Istanbul neighbors upstarts who got great games from Astou Ndour-Fall, Jessica Thomas, and Robyn Parks. Botas won the other game 81-64 over Jaime Nared and Nesibe Aydin. Sunday started with Orman pulling even closer to the rest of the field with an 81-76 win over Aerial Powers and Kayseri. Tarsus did not go for the all out dismantling that other teams have against Bodrum, but Aisha Sheppard launched away from the outside to lead them in an 83-62 win. The playoff chase is getting more intense for the last few spots as the addition of Zia Cooke continued to help Bursa Ant in their 87-81 win over Alexis Peterson, Dana Evans, and Besiktas.

Spanish League Round 18

Half of this round was on Saturday and Avenida was coming off a difficult week, but Arica Carter helped them build an early lead only for them to run out of steam and lose to Ferrol 79-70. Ibaeta defeated Gran Canaria 67-52. Ardoi could not keep their momentum going, losing to Sedis 67-51 to drop back into the danger zone. Mariam Coulibaly led Joventut Badalona in an 84-73 win over Maxuella Lisowa Mbaka and Araski. On Sunday, Ensino fell into trouble after a 75-73 loss to Jairis. Valencia repeated their continental result with an 82-63 win over Zaragoza. Clementine Samson helped steer Celta to a safe spot for now after an 80-71 win over Marena Whittle and Estudiantes. Chloe Bibby and Girona finished the day with a 73-62 win over Gernika.

This round started on Saturday with Schio getting the 87-59 win over Cornelia Fondren and Faenza. The early game on Sunday saw San Martino di Lupari defeat Sassari 67-58. Anna Togliani and Tetiana Yurkevichus helped Brixia get a big 66-61 win over Derthona for their playoff chances. Sara Madera led Campobasso in a 71-53 win over Battipaglia.
