Turkish League Round 21

The round after the international break started on Wednesday and Marine Fauthoux and Cukurova defeated Shyla Heal and Tarsus 77-66 in the first game. Emlak Konut held off Crystal Dangerfield and Kayseri 75-72 as the battle for playoff spots and positioning in the bracket will be intense. After unusual domestic league struggles, Fenerbahce could not slide any further, facing a Bodrum squad with no foreign players and letting Marieme Badiane dominate the paint on the way to a 107-37 win. On Thursday, Galatasaray got a good game from their local core, led by Aysegul Gunay and Meltem Yildizhan, in a 97-73 win over Sydney Wallace and Nesibe Aydin. Botas is still safely in a playoff spot, getting good games from Lindsay Allen and Damiris Dantas while handing Hannah Jump her professional debut in their 89-85 win over Jasmine Walker, Destanni Henderson, and Bursa Ant.

Spanish League Round 20

The first round after the international break was played on Thursday, starting with Araski pulling towards safety and dropping Gran Canaria a game back of the playoff places with a 74-67 victory. Ibaeta could not help themselves in the same way, losing to Mariam Coulibaly and Joventut Badalona 66-56. Girona prepared their roster for the stretch run and won 86-62, stranding Ardoi at the bottom of the standings. Sedis is technically sitting in the danger zone, but they are a game ahead in the loss column pending a makeup game after a decisive 73-49 win over Ferrol. Zaragoza left Lugo with a 75-66 win over Ensino. Avenida pulled away from Estudiantes in the second half for a 72-55 win. Gernika is sitting in the last playoff spot after edging Celta 57-54. Valencia is no longer all alone in first place after going to Murcia and losing to Jairis 73-70.
