Natasha Mack and 13 seed Girona had the same idea of getting a big lead at home before having to play the road game, but Dominique Malonga and Juste Jocyte helped 5 seed Lyon cut the deficit in the second half to only trail 77-72. On Thursday, the only series with no seeding upsets started with 2 seed Villeneuve-d’Ascq taking the lead early and building it up to a 91-72 win over Holly Winterburn and 7 seed Besiktas behind Carla Leite. The series with only teams that had pulled off seeding upsets had Noa Morro and 17 seed Ferrol turning in an excellent fourth quarter to give themselves a 95-76 advantage on Shaylee Gonzales and 25 seed Dinamo Sassari.
