Turkish League Quarterfinals Game 1
The playoffs started on Wednesday with two series as the other two quarterfinals began on Thursday. Top seed Fenerbahce brought in Kayla McBride to make sure that they could win the last two trophies up for grabs and she made an immediate impact in their 98-74 win over Kayseri. Jessica Thomas helped her team have the better first half, but they needed to rally in the fourth quarter to open with an 82-77 win over Temi Fagbenle and Besiktas. Galatasaray made sure there were no surprises in their game and defeated Botas 87-64. Cukurova may have run low on emotional energy from their cup win as Jaime Nared and Erica Wheeler led Nesibe Aydin in a dramatic comeback to force overtime and get a 95-86 win despite big games from Bridget Carleton and Yvonne Anderson.

Italian League Round 22
Continental competition meant that the final round was played with simultaneous tipoffs on Thursday as Battipaglia got the last bye and held on to the final playoff spot. Blessing Ejiofor had a fantastic game for Alpo, which had their tough season end with an 82-72 loss to San Martino di Lupari. Brixia technically had a chance at grabbing the last playoff spot, but playing first place Schio was a challenge despite the best efforts of Marzia Tagliamento. Their opponent in the playout series will be Sassari, which lost to Tinara Moore and Sesto San Giovanni even though Sparkle Taylor had an excellent game. Venezia won 59-51 at Campobasso as both teams are on a collision course in the playoffs. Cornelia Fondren and Sara Roumy were a potent pairing for Faenza in a 74-64 win over Derthona.
