The halfway point was reached after this round, starting with Dara Toman joining Darazsak to help them nearly finding their way to a first win on Saturday before Szigetszentmiklos prevailed 65-55 to ensure that the hosts could not climb a spot with a miracle. On Monday, BEAC got closer to first place after Katrina Ozola helped them defeat Makenna Marisa and David Kornei 81-74.

Asia
The finals started in Japan as all the games will be in the same neutral venue. The Red Wave got a solid win on Saturday and were looking ready to win again on Sunday, but the Iris seized the lead after halftime to tie the series.
The finals also started in China on Saturday and there was a surprise in Game 1 after Guangdong got a win at home before they need to hit the road and visit heavy favorites Sichuan.
Australia
The West was the latest conference to start NBL1 play and players were preparing for WNBA training camp. Anneli Maley looks ready after a 29 point, 30 rebound, 10 assist game and her teammate Natalie Chou had 33 points. Alex Sharp had a 23 rebound game.
It was a busy week in the South conference as Maddison Rocci had a 33 point game and Laina Snyder had a 25 rebound game. In the East conference, Ella Gale had a 21 rebound game and Jessie-May Hall recorded 10 steals. Caitlyn Jones had a 38 point effort in a win, but the Albury Wodonga Bandits lost the next game after Nicole Munger poured in 40 points for the opposition.
In Big V’s top division, Grace Graham had 30 points in an overtime win that saw Amy Baum record a 10 point, 13 rebound, 14 assist triple-double in the loss. In the middle division, Emily Ferrier had a 32 point game. The lowest division included a 34 point game from Candice Rogers and a 33 point game from Kelly Foster.
The Burnie Tigers are now all alone in the lead in North West Tasmania after Millie Baker had 31 points in their win over Smithton. Those Saints are now all alone at the bottom of the standings after the Wynyard Wildcats were able to win despite 30 points from Shelbie Rayner for the Ulverstone Redhoppers. The Latrobe Demons fell out of the lead because Bailey Flavell had 31 points to get the Somerset Heat a win. The Penguin Blues defeated the Devonport Warriors in the other game.
Americas
Another week of games in Brazil started on Tuesday with Ourinhos’s 78-67 win over Maringa. Cerrado won at Santo Andre on Wednesday. There were two games on Thursday with Araraquara rolling past Sao Jose dos Campos after trailing early and Mesquita defeating Corinthians. Friday’s game was a close one, but Agustina Marin had 31 points to lead Campinas to the win over Cerrado. Sampaio easily defeated Maringa on Saturday. Sunday had two games with Araraquara winning at Santo Andre and Sao Jose dos Campos taking care of Blumenau. Sampaio won at Ourinhos on Monday.
The quarterfinals were played in Mexico this weekend and there were easy Friday-Saturday sweeps for the top three seeds. Mieleras had no trouble with Penguins, Libelulas crushed Avispas in the battle of the bugs, and Mineras took care of Toritas. Universidad Modelo eventually finished a Saturday-Sunday sweep of Dragonas.
Around Europe
The Baltic champion was crowned this weekend and it was an all-Lithuanian matchup in the final that saw Kibirkstis defeat Neptunas. Riga got one medal for Latvia with their win over LCC International University. Mercy Wanyama had a 30 point game in Lithuania’s domestic competition. Nyon won their second cup of the season on Saturday with an overtime victory over Fribourg. Ulriken Eagles finished a sweep of Asker Aliens to win the championship in Norway. Esperides Kallitheas defeated Iraklis in the deciding game of the series to stay in the top division in Greece.
Jessica Kelliher started the semifinals in Sweden with a 31 point game. The playoffs continued in Romania with Teja Gorsic scoring 31 points and Ciera Johnson grabbing 20 rebounds. In the playoffs in Moldova, Maria Nicolaeva had 29 rebounds in just over 20 minutes and Xenia Alfiorova had 30 points. Makaila Napoleon had 34 points, but her team lost to start the finals in Malta. Alexus Johnson had a 34 point, 29 rebound game to send her team to the finals in Luxembourg. There were big rebounding games on both sides of a playoff game in Israel with Emily Engstler collecting 22 in the win while Stasha Carey had 21 in the loss. The playoffs started in Iceland and included a pair of 30 point games for Jasmine Dickey, a 39 point effort in a loss for Lore Devos, and 30 point game for Alyssa Cerino. Carmen Tyson-Thomas returned at just the right time in the playoffs in Finland and had a 36 point game to start the semifinals. The playoffs started in Belgium and Leigha Brown had a 30 point game.
Chase for Promotion
Channon Fluker was the leading scorer in Turkey’s second division with 35 points. Asia Strong grabbed 21 rebounds and Nursima Uzumcu grabbed 20 rebounds. Mya Burns had 33 points to get her team a win in the part of Portugal’s second division looking for promotion while Laky Samo had 31 points in a loss as part of the battle to stay in the division. Costa Masnaga edged San Giovanni Valdarno to take the lead in their half of Italy’s second division. Lucia Missanelli had a 31 point game and Iliyana Georgieva had a 20 rebound effort. There is a tie at the top in the other half too after Udine won, but Mantova lost. Iceland’s second division started their playoffs and Rebekka Steingrimsdottir had a 30 point game and then her teammate Cheah Rael-Whitsitt led the way in the next game with 36 points. The playoffs began in Germany’s second division and the playdowns to stay in the first also started with Hailey Van Roekel scoring 32 points.
Notable Individual Performances
Janja Dragisic dished out 17 assists in Montenegro. Sofia Kosareva had 30 points in Estonia. The regular season concluded in Croatia and Andela Strize had 40 points while Iva Bosnjak had 30 points. Jelena Tadic had a 30 point game in the Bosnian league. Jeanae Terry had a 12 point, 13 rebound, 11 assist triple-double in Albania.
