EuroLeague Quarterfinals
The new championship format started on Wednesday with the quarterfinals. USK Praha was looking to make a run for their coach and advanced past Schio 79-72 to set up one last chance at the kind of upset that got them their championship a decade ago when they meet Fenerbahce. Cukurova assembled their strongest possible roster for this event, but got quite the battle from Bourges before winning 66-59 and setting up a rematch with Valencia.

Italian League
Only one quarterfinal series needed a deciding game on Wednesday and Derthona took the lead at home in the first half behind Elisa Penna with the team at full strength. San Martino di Lupari as a club had far more experience at this level and Amari Robinson helped them show that in the second half to win 82-72. The playout also continued with teams looking to end their season on a winning note and to avoid having to play the final series with Alpo for a guaranteed spot in the division. Sparkle Taylor was strong for Sassari again, but Marzia Tagliamento and Brixia had the stronger fourth quarter to finish the sweep 82-73 and head home.
