2028 WNBA Mock Draft 2.0

Ohio State sophomore guard Jaloni Cambridge.

It’s been almost one year since I released the first ever version of the 2028 WNBA Mock Draft. I released 2026 WNBA Mock Draft 3.0 over two weeks ago and released the 2027 WNBA Mock Draft 3.0 yesterday.

These players are now in their sophomore years of college. They are still growing and learning to get better. There is a high probability that there will be new rules implemented in the WNBA draft system. This is why there will be three more versions of this draft. One that will released during their junior seasons. One that will be released during the earlier months of the senior season and the final version will be released during April 2028. Also, as mentioned last year, there will be a new expansion team and for 2028 it will be Cleveland. Cleveland did have a WNBA team before they folded. They were part of the original teams in the league before folding in 2003 due to “financial issues and low attendance.”

It will be 25 years since then. It should be a fun year for Cleveland WNBA & women’s basketball fans. This makes them the 16th team in the league. More players will now get the oppurtunity to get drafted and play in the WNBA.
