South American League Final 4 June 10th-11th

The top two teams from each group met in the Final 4 in Santiago del Estero, Argentina with semifinals on Saturday. Both teams in the first game strengthened their rosters with excellent scorers and Paola Ferrari was fantastic for Bucaros, but Aguada won 78-75 behind Stephanie Madden and Macarena D’Urso. The second game was also a good one with Antioquia fending off Andrea Boquete and hosts Quimsa 80-77 to make sure that one Colombian team would reach the championship game. On Sunday, Bucaros had an easy 74-50 win over Quimsa for third place. Florencia Chagas was Aguada’s addition and she tried to fire them to the championship, but Antioquia’s duo of Jenifer Munoz and Manuela Rios got them the 82-69 win.
