Sunday was the final day of games and Australia made sure that rivals New Zealand did not feel like they were ready to crack the medal places, rolling to an 81-59 win. That set the stage for the championship game and an even first quarter gave way to Japan taking a lead before halftime, looking to continue their dominance of this tournament. In the second half, Han Xu took China on her shoulders one more time and they got the key late baskets to win 73-71 and to give us a new title holder for this first time in this format.
