Sampaio hosted the next two games in the finals in Brazil, but Araraquara took the series lead with a win on Wednesday. Sampaio rolled to a win on Friday to set up a deciding game on the road next Thursday.

Only the upper group played in Uruguay this weekend, starting with Yale’s win over Hebraica Macabi on Saturday. Aguada defeated 25 de Agosto in the first game on Sunday and then Malvin rolled past Defensor Sporting to stay all alone at the top of the standings.

Another week started with a Monday game in Puerto Rico and Morovis greatly strengthened their roster by filling all their spots since the last game, but still could not pick up their first win against Santurce. Lares was also waiting for a win after their loss to Santurce on Tuesday while Hatillo defeated Carolina. Morovis finally won a game on Wednesday against Moca. An excellent game on Thursday had Manati edging Hatillo. Morovis continued their momentum with a win over Lares on Friday while Carolina defeated Moca. Dariauna Lewis had an incredible performance, including 22 rebounds, and Hatillo defeated Isabela in the battle of new teams. Morovis was finally at full strength on Sunday and defeated Santurce while Lares lost again, this time to Carolina.

Oceania

One week remains in the regular season in New Zealand after another full week of play. The Whai defeated the Queens on Wednesday with Jade Kirisome playing over 40 minutes over the course of the day. Esra McGoldrick played over 40 minutes for the Pouakai on Friday as they lead the reserve league despite being the only team out of the picture in the main league, losing to the Hoiho despite 31 points from Jasmine Dickey. Dickey also had 31 points on Sunday and Kennedy Leonard dished out 15 assists and it was Lauryn Hippolite’s turn to top the 40 minutes mark, but they lost to the Whai. The Kahu maintained their lead in the standings with a win over the Hoiho.

The championship game of Big V was played on Saturday with Wyndham trying to complete an undefeated season. The Bulleen Boomers had other ideas, prevailing in overtime after withstanding a 34 point, 15 rebound, 10 assist triple-double from Amanda Paschal.
