Australian League Round 12 January 17th-21st

The Wednesday doubleheader started with Southside’s 84-57 win over Bendigo. Sydney took care of business with an 88-65 win over Adelaide. They also won on Friday 90-65 against Canberra to stay in the playoff hunt while playing teams at the bottom. The first game on Saturday had a stunning result after Isabelle Bourne and Lauren Mansfield helped last place Adelaide stun Courtney Woods and first place Townsville 90-75. Mehryn Kraker and Bendigo were the latest team to take down a reeling Perth team as a good game from Emily Potter was not enough in their 95-74 loss. The Sunday game was between the city rivals and Lauren Jackson and Southside just held off Melbourne 84-82 even though the hosts got good games from Jordin Canada and Naz Hillmon.
