Turkish League Round 21 January 20th-22nd
The round started on Saturday with a brilliant game from Kelsey Bone in Antalya’s 96-81 win over Brooke McCarty-Williams and Cankaya University. Damiris Dantas paced Orman in a 70-56 win over Tarsus. Knowing that it would be an easy win, Izmit mostly coasted with Khaalia Hillsman and Sierra Calhoun leading them in a 131-87 win over Oyku Taskin, Betul Kutlu, and Hatay. The last game of the day took two overtimes to settle with Marina Mabrey’s efforts not being enough for Cukurova after Alaina Coates and Feride Akalan helped Nesibe Aydin come back and win 98-94. On Sunday, Fenerbahce had to hang on late behind Emma Meesseman as Botas was shorthanded, but got great games from Lindsay Allen and Taya Reimer before falling short 84-82. Galatasaray is close to unveiling their intended final roster, but it was NaLyssa Smith who led them to a 74-62 win over Bursa. Dearica Hamby had a successful debut alongside Claudia Cuic for Kayseri on Monday and their 89-80 win kept Alanna Smith and company from maintaining their lead in the hunt for the last playoff spot.

The cup quarterfinals were played in Iceland and Lore Devos had 30 points to help her team advance while Daniela Wallen had 20 rebounds in league play. The cup final was played in Finland with Randi Brown’s 42 point effort not being enough as Carmen Tyson-Thomas had a 24 point, 14 rebound, 11 assist triple-double to get Torpan Pojat the trophy.
