Asia

Another full week of games started on Wednesday in South Korea with dueling triple-doubles on Wednesday as Park Ji-Su had 24 points, 14 rebounds, and 10 assists in the Stars win. Bae Hye-Yoon had 14 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists and almost matched it on Friday in a Blue Minx win over the S-Birds. BNK struggled in their games, losing to Hana Bank on Thursday and Woori Bank on Saturday. The Stars continued rolling on Sunday with a win over Hana Bank. Their lead in the standings grew on Monday when the Blue Minx prevailed over Woori Bank after overtime.

Tuesday was the last day of this stage in Kazakhstan and it included a 22 rebound game from Symbat Kydyrali and 31 point games from Elizaveta Mitina and Emily Lytle. Another round-robin was played in Taiwan over the weekend and had the exact same results as the last two weekends with another clean sweep for Taiyuan Textile, followed by Cathay Life, Chunghwa Telecom, and winless Taipower.

Mexico

Another five series were played this weekend. Libelulas swept winless Torritas to be the only undefeated team in the North. Behind them, Quetzales and Mineras split their games with Clenia Noblet’s 31 points in the first meeting not being enough for the former, which hosted. In the cross-zone series, Husky’s handed Avispas their first loss on Saturday, but could not complete the home sweep on Sunday. The national U18 team swept Cinnamon to get their first wins and to keep the visitors winless. Mieleras is the only undefeated team in the South, keeping Blueskas winless with a road sweep.

Around Europe

Polonia Warszawa hosted the second set of games in the European league and won both of their games. Ostrava defeated Frankivsk again in the other game. Prishtina, which got 23 rebounds from Jade Williams, joined Bashkimi as the two perfect teams in the unified Albania-Kosovo competition ahead of their matchup on Tuesday. Mar’Shay Moore had 50 points to lead her team to a win in Kosovo while Sarah Mgbeike had a 31 point game. Xhemile Ahmetaj and Luna Luca had 20 rebounds each on opposing sides in Albania. It was a cup weekend in Cyprus with Grace Stone scoring 37 points to help her team win and Sara Dickey’s 25 points edging her opposition’s total by a point.

Chase for Promotion

In Ukraine’s second division, Anastasia Kostohlod had a 30 point game and Olga Golodyuk reached the 33 point mark. Zonguldak got 31 points from Sasha Goodlett to expand their lead in Turkey’s second division to 2 games. Kamaria McDaniel scored 48 points the day before her WNBA signing was announced and Danielle Adams had 38 points. Segle XXI lost for the first time in their half of Spain’s second division. Anamaria Pop had a 31 point game in Romania’s second division. In Portugal’s second division Ke’Vonshaye Stackhouse had 31 points and Laquanza Glover grabbed 21 rebounds. In Iceland’s second division Jonina Karlsdottir had 30 points and Kristrun Olafsdottir had 22 rebounds. In a big win, Sianni Martin had 34 points and Barbara Zieniewska had a 27 point, 10 rebound, 11 steal triple-double. Strasbourg Illkirch-Graffenstaden’s struggles in France’s second division continued with a loss to the national training center’s youth team.

Notable Individual Performances

Stella Johnson had a 33 point game in Sweden. Yeisy Perez had 32 points in Slovenia. Aurora Sorbye had a 15 point, 10 rebound, 10 assist triple-double in Norway. Natalija Spaic had 33 points in a tough overtime loss in Montenegro. Keira Robinson had a 22 point, 10 rebound, 10 steal triple-double in Iceland as the double round-robin finished. Jillian Alleyne had a 27 rebound game in Greece. Jessica Wayne had a 11 point, 11 rebound, 12 assist triple-double in the British league. Randi Brown had a 36 point game in Finland. Lisa Sirgi had 20 rebounds in an overtime loss in Estonia. Anna Seilund had a 30 point game in Denmark. In Croatia, Lea Hajdin had 34 points while her teammate Iva Todoric had a 15 point, 12 rebound, 16 assist triple-double. Dalila Slatina had 31 points in the Bosnian league. Antonia Reissner had 21 rebounds in Austria.
