Women’s College Basketball Final Overall Rankings for the 2023/2024 season – Class by Class!

Alissa Pili of Utah

It has been an interesting season as we now come to the conclusion of the weekly women’s college basketball rankings. This season has been unique in the sense that there have been way more upsets than I can remember since I started compiling the rankings back in the 2016/2017 season. It was often difficult to prepare the rankings as there were more new names than ever and the usual names were being left off. I tried to make the weekly rankings as fair as possible, with a true regard of players and team performance. If a player was playing well, but their team was failing or had a bad record, they were often left off the rankings list. You can’t be a top player with a struggling team. It doesn’t work that way. As I always do, I gave the AP Top 25 teams players a boost along with some several top mid-major teams. This year, the top team was South Carolina. They demonstrated what a great team they were and that’s why they have several players in this year’s final overall rankings list. It takes teamwork and they were able to accomplish it.

In order to make the final overall rankings list, players needed to be on the weekly college basketball players rankings list for 7 weeks or more. In order to make the honourable mention list, players needed to be on the players rankings list for 6 weeks.

Listed below are the top 36 seniors, the top 24 juniors, the top 14 sophomores and the top 7 freshmen for the 2023/2024 season. You can view the Preseason rankings list here. Questions or first time viewing the rankings? You can read the FAQ page here.
