The first game of the championship series was played on Friday and it was the first of at least four meetings between the teams this month. Fenerbahce was the favorite, but their lone domestic loss on the court did come at the hands of Cukurova before the forfeit was applied. Emma Meesseman led the top seed though and Fenerbahce won 99-78. They will also host in Istanbul on Sunday before the teams meet in continental play.
