Italian League Playout Semifinals Game 1
The two series that start the process for determining which single team will drop down to the second division opened this weekend. Teams that won in this round would end their seasons and remain at the top level. Angeliki Vintsilaiou and Sanga Milano were looking to make that easier for themselves early with a road win, but Maddie Garrick and Vasiliki Louka helped Brixia control the second half for an 86-77 win. The other series started on Sunday and Battipaglia found some momentum at the end of the regular season, starting this game with a halftime lead, but Faenza was able to hold serve at home and win 74-66.

Spanish League Quarterfinals Game 2
One series concluded on Saturday as Zaragoza quickly made up the deficit that they faced from the road half and then held steady for a 62-47 win, enough to get past Estudiantes 127-121 on aggregate. The early on Sunday was in the series where there was not expected to be any drama and Girona won easily against Jairis to push the final margin out to 130-97. In Salamanca, Avenida quickly wiped out their deficit against Ferrol, but the rest of the game had the teams closely clustered on aggregate, being tied overall heading into the final quarter before the hosts could stretch out for an 87-69 win, enough to progress 136-130. Complex calculations were not needed in Valencia and the hosts led fairly comfortably on their way to a 79-69 win, eliminating Ibaeta 139-128.
