Hungarian League Semifinals Game 3
Two series needed deciding games before the last series of the season could be set for each team. The championship bracket had their game on Thursday and Szekszard threatened early, but Gyor advanced with an 89-70 home win. The consolation bracket game was on Saturday and MTK looked ready to cruise and deliver at least one home win in the series for most of the game. Vasas made a dramatic comeback and the duo of Iggy Allen and Orsolya Toth finally got them them the 89-84 win after a second overtime.

French Cup Final
It was cup final weekend in France so not just the trophy for the teams in the women’s professional league was awarded. The first women’s competition to finish was for teams from the amateur divisions, though most of the players participating are paid. Friday’s game matched up two teams looking to take the two spots in the third tier that would send teams up to the second division and Alencon was very decisive in a big win over Monaco. The youth cup was awarded in Saturday’s first game and the historic academy at Mondeville prevailed against Lattes Montpellier. The battle that we were denied in the league semifinals was contested in the afternoon and Bourges made sure that their continental placement was secure after Kayla Alexander paced them in a 76-63 win over Alexis Peterson and Landes.
