Women’s College Basketball Players Rankings – Class by Class! Week 5

Izzy Higginbottom of Arkansas

This past week, there were a couple of conference challenges that took place. Among the Power Four conferences (the SEC, the ACC, the Big Ten and the Big 12), the SEC and the ACC took part in a conference challenge. Overall, the SEC conference won the conference challenge as 10 colleges from the SEC won their head-to-head matchups while only 6 colleges won from the ACC conference. Two smaller conferences (Big Sky and Summit) conferences also took part in a conference challenge and the Summit conference won as 7 colleges from the Summit conference won while only 2 colleges from the Big Sky conference won.

Conference play begun in some conferences this week (A-10, ACC, Big East, Big Ten, Big West, Horizon League, Southland and the West Coast). This usually doesn’t occur until late December or early January. It shall be interesting to watch unfold as there has been an increase in parity in NCAA women’s college basketball.

Listed below are the top 36 seniors, the top 27 juniors, the top 18 sophomores and the top 6 freshmen for the week of December 2nd to December 8th, 2024. You can view the previous week here. Questions? First time viewing the rankings? You can read the FAQ page here.

    1. No. She struggled against #22 Louisville. Her team mates were better. This is a week to week rankings. If she plays better this upcoming week, she will be there. No worries.
