Hungarian League Round 20
The last game from Round 13 was played on Wednesday and PEAC won 102-69 at David Kornei. This round started on Saturday and Virag Kiss and Gyor stayed in the lead with a 77-62 win over Szekszard. A battle for the last spot in the playoffs had Cegled getting a 66-58 win over Mar’Shay Moore and BEAC. PEAC eventually cruised past Darazsak 101-69. Ashten Prechtel and Fanni Szabo helped MTK finish the day with a 90-52 win over David Kornei. Sunday started with an easy 93-53 win for Vasas over Szigetszentmiklos. The late game was a battle near the top of the standings that saw DVTK’s second half efforts fall short in a 79-71 loss to Stephanie Reid and Sopron.

Spanish League Round 23
This round started on Friday and Ardoi is running out of chances after losing to Nneka Ezeigbo and Gran Canaria 66-56. On Saturday, it was Iyana Martin leading Avenida in an 83-58 win over Ibaeta. Jairis won 74-50 at Gernika. Valencia stayed in the lead with their 74-54 win over Ferrol. Celta missed a big chance to climb out of danger, losing to Regina Aguilar and Sedis 71-65 despite the best efforts of Clementine Samson. Ensino also took a big step towards safety, keeping Gracia Alonso de Armino and Estudiantes from moving into a more secure playoff position after an 83-73 win. Zaragoza defeated Araski 85-60 in the first game on Sunday. Girona put on a clinic to close the round, rolling to a shockingly easy 97-47 win over Joventut Badalona.

Galatasaray defeated Gulsah Duman and Botas 80-67. Gabby Williams and Fenerbahce got closer to clinching the top seed with a 98-67 win over Nesibe Aydin. On Sunday, Manolya Kurtulmus and Orman stayed tied for the last playoff spot with a 67-56 win over Besiktas. Kayseri is the other part of that tie after Adji Fall and company lost to Cukurova 74-68.

French Cup Semifinals
The cup semifinals were played over the weekend to qualify for the grand event featuring the country’s six cup finals in April. Tarbes had an upset on their minds, but Charleville-Mezieres rallied late for a 75-74 win on Saturday. The other semifinal was on Sunday and it was a rematch of last year’s final. The result ended up being the same after Bourges got the 57-53 win over Landes.

The next game was the big one with the top seed in the playoffs likely to be decided and Schio has the momentum now with a 67-64 win over Venezia. The weekend finished with Campobasso’s 89-70 win over Sesto San Giovanni.
