It is officially past the mid-point of the NCAA women’s college basketball season and the large majority of the AP Top 25 ranked teams lost or suffered an upset. It’s alot easier than it used to be. Oklahoma, Kentucky, Maryland, Iowa State, USC, North Carolina, Washington, Nebraska were either upset or lost to a fellow AP Top 25 team. To top it all off, Texas is no longer undefeated after LSU defeated them. This means that only three teams remain undefeated. UConn, Vanderbilt and Texas Tech.
This heavily affects the rankings for this week, particularly the juniors. A lot of notable juniors are missing this week either due to losses or upsets last week.
Listed below are the top 36 seniors, the top 20 juniors, the top 18 sophomores and the top 7 freshmen for the week of Jan. 5th to Jan. 11th, 2026. You can view the previous weeks here. Questions? First time viewing the rankings? You can read the FAQ page here.
