It is official. There will be a WNBA season and it will tip off next month. It is now time to release my final version of the 2026 WNBA Mock Draft. The WNBA Draft will take place next week and it will be held in the same place as it was last year. The official event will televised from 7:00 pm EST and it will be on ESPN in America and on TSN4 & TSN5 in Canada. It will be on WNBA League Pass for international viewers. There will also be a WNBA Orange Carpet Special that tips off at 5:30 pm EST and it is on ESPN2. Prior to the WNBA Draft, there will be a WNBA Countdown that will be held at 6:30 pm EST and it will be on ESPN in America and on TSN5 in Canada.

First, I would like to congratulate UCLA on winning their first ever NCAA National Championship! They have won a title before, but just not in the NCAA era. It was in 1978 and it was in the AIAW era. You can read more about it here. Lauren Betts was named the Most Outstanding Player. I’ve had some of the seniors, starting with Betts in my previous versions of the draft and it was nice to see them shine and have their special moment.

Second, I originally started writing the 2026 WNBA Mock Drafts when they were freshmen. Here is the link to the 2026 WNBA Mock Draft 1.0. Ta’Niya Latson played for Florida State before transferring to South Carolina. In their sophomore seasons, I updated the draft. Here is the link to the 2026 WNBA Mock Draft 2.0. Raegan Beers played for Oregon State before transferring to Oklahoma. In their junior seasons, I updated the draft. Here is the link to the 2026 WNBA Mock Draft 3.0. In their senior seasons, I updated the draft in January and included international draft prospects such as Awa Fam of Spain. You can read more about international draft prospects from Andrew who wrote more about them and you can view the 2026 WNBA Mock Draft 4.0 here. I also included Azzi Fudd from UConn and Olivia Miles in the previous version of the draft. They were not included in other versions of the draft because I thought they were going to be in the 2025 WNBA Draft.

Third, we also know the correct WNBA draft order as the WNBA Expansion Draft took place last week. The Portland Fire and the Toronto Tempo released their expansion rosters. The Toronto Tempo have the sixth pick in the first round of the draft and the Portland Fire have the seventh pick in the first round. You can view the correct entire second and third round draft order here.
