More than one month of the WNBA season has gone by and it is now time for another bi-weekly update on this year’s rookies. The second edition of this year’s 2026 WNBA Rookies Watch can be found here. It is now time to rank the top 5 rookies who have shined during the latest round of games.
*Please note, these are games played from June 2nd to June 15th, 2026.*
WNBA Rookies Watch – Week 3 – Rookies Continuing to Rise
1. Olivia Miles – PG – Minnesota Lynx
Olivia Miles continues to stand out among her peers by being one of the best rookies so far by not playing like a rookie but like a veteran guard. She scored a career high 29 points in the loss against the Las Vegas Aces and hasn’t struggled shooting from the floor. However, she still needs to work on limiting her turnovers as she had a career high 6 turnovers against the Las Vegas Aces.
2. Azzi Fudd – SG – Dallas Wings
Azzi Fudd moves up a spot in this week’s edition of WNBA Rookies Watch because she’s been stepping up her game and playing better. She only struggled once in the past two weeks and matched a career high 3 blocks in a win against Phoenix. However, she still needs to work on her three point shot as she is shooting 24% from three.
3. Flau’jae Johnson – SG – Seattle Storm
Flau’jae moves up two spots in this week’s edition of WNBA Rookies Watch because after her struggles in the previous two weeks, she bounced back and had a double-double in a loss versus the LA Sparks. She finished the game with 14 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. With 4 more assists, she could’ve had her first career triple-double. She is improving and getting better, however she still struggles shooting from the floor. She’s currently shooting 32.9% from the floor and 26.6% from three.
4. Awa Fam – C – Seattle Storm
The third overall pick in this year’s WNBA Draft makes her first appearance in this year’s edition of WNBA Rookies Watch. Awa Fam is continuing to grow and get better as she scored a career high 18 points in a loss versus the Phoenix Mercury. She’s only struggled twice shooting the ball during the latest round of games included in this week’s edition of WNBA Rookies Watch (on the road versus Minnesota, at home versus Golden State) and is also looking to try to add a three-point shot to her game. As the season moves along, we shall see what else she can do.
5. Angela Dugalic – PF – Washington Mystics
The ninth pick in this year’s WNBA Draft makes her first appearance in this year’s edition of WNBA Rookies Watch. Angela Dugalic has been impressive in these latest round of games for the Washington Mystics because she’s been rebounding the ball extremely well during the minutes she plays. For rookies, it is often difficult to get minutes and playing time and Angela Dugalic has been making the most of it. She had a career high 9 rebounds in a loss versus the Atlanta Dream and only played 14 minutes. She’s been getting better in terms of getting shot oppurtunities and we shall see how she continues to progress as the season moves along.
Honourable mention: Lauren Betts, C, Washington Mystics, Gabriela Jaquez, SG, Chicago Sky, Jovana Nogic, SG, Phoenix Mercury, Cotie McMahon, SG, Washington Mystics, Teja Oblak, PG, Portland Fire
