French League Round 4 November 18th-19th

One game in this round was played on Friday with the rest on Saturday ahead of the international break. The schedule has been tough for Toulouse, but they are still acquitting themselves quite nicely even after a 66-57 loss to Bourges. The early game on Saturday had Villeneuve-d’Ascq handing Lattes Montpellier their first loss 82-69. Marine Johannes and Lyon stayed perfect with an 87-76 win over Angers. Landes was close to that elusive first win, but found themselves edged out by Ana Suarez and Roche late 76-75. They are the last winless team because Jaisa Nunn and Landerneau surprised Sara Chevaugeon and Charlevilles-Mezieres 74-67. Iva Slonjsak and Saint-Amand had the better first half, but Yohana Ewodo and Marie-Paule Foppossi helped Tarbes surge out of the break to win 93-89.

Turkish League Round 7 November 19th

A full round of games was played on Saturday before the international break and it started with a surprise as Fenerbahce tweaked their lineup and still got good games from Kayla McBride and Emma Meesseman, but Jessica Thomas and Nesibe Aydin held on to a 77-75 win. The battle at the bottom of the standings was no longer between the two winless teams and Dana Evans continued the momentum for Besiktas and they climbed out of the drop zone with a 76-57 win over Marie Benson and Rize. Feyonda Fitzgerald and Shaqwedia Wallace could not keep Antalya from falling to the bottom of the tiebreaker as Ayse Cora and Epiphanny Prince helped Hatay win 84-73. Emma Cannon and Bursa now sit in the last safe spot after losing to Megan Walker and company. Keyona Hayes was impressive in Kayseri’s 76-72 win over Sevgi Uzun and Botas. Cukurova handed Galatasaray their first loss 68-54 and now sit atop the standings. Tyasha Harris and Tan White teamed up to lead Cankaya University to an 86-70 win over Orman in the night game.
