The second and third place teams in the Tel Aviv groups played their playoff games on Monday so that the winners could make the trip to Ljubljana for the quarterfinals on Thursday. The first game was fantastic as Greece’s frontcourt of Mariella Fasoula and Artemis Spanou did everything that they could to keep the team close to the Czech Republic, which just kept enough of a margin in the fourth quarter to win 79-76. In the second game, Montenegro jumped out to a lead early and that was enough for a 63-49 win over Italy. The Czech Republic will face Hungary while Montenegro will face France.
