EuroBasket Playoff Games Day 2 June 20th

The second and third place teams in the Ljubljana groups played on Tuesday for the last two spots in Thursday’s quarterfinals. After a close first quarter, Marie Gulich and Germany would take the lead for good and eliminated Slovakia 79-69. The extra game for defending champions Serbia could have given them more time to work on chemistry with a full lineup as they did enough to avoid an upset bid by Temi Fagbenle and Great Britain to win 66-60. They get a stern test in their next game though against Belgium while Spain faces Germany.
