EuroBasket Finals June 24th

Sunday was the last day of competition and it started with the 5th place game, which was originally scheduled in case there were qualification implications. There did not end up being any and Serbia cruised past Germany 78-62. Having already lost the chance at a championship or a 6th straight silver medal, France was still looking to extend their overall medal streak to 8 and Migna Toure helped them do that with an 82-68 win over Virag Kiss and Hungary. Spain had the championship experience and they started the final well, but Belgium surged in the final quarter as Emma Meesseman helped press their advantage in the frontcourt for a 64-58 win and their first title.
