Preseason Women’s College Basketball Players Rankings – Class by Class!

Paige Bueckers of UConn

Welcome back to another season of women’s college basketball! The 2024/2025 NCAA women’s college basketball season will tip off in three days, on November 4th. After a historic and record-breaking WNBA season, it’s now time to evaluate the rising stars in women’s college basketball and see what players can break through and make a difference during this season of women’s college basketball.

My women’s college basketball players rankings are divided by class, and I release them on a weekly basis. This will be my sixth season in compiling the preseason rankings and my ninth season in compiling the women’s college basketball players rankings. So much has changed over the years so this season will be difficult, but I will try my best to make the rankings fair and accurate.

The preseason rankings are a combination of what happened last season as well as the expectations of what could potentially happen this season. Listed below are the top 36 seniors, the top 27 juniors, the top 18 sophomores and the top 9 freshmen.
