This round opened with a pair of games on Saturday, starting with Jori Davis and Faenza winning 80-68 against Maddie Garrick and San Giovanni Valdarno. Brixia is also having a tough start, losing to Sesto San Giovanni 94-64. Venezia had close to their intended lineup on Sunday as Jessica Shepard led them past Sassari 84-60. Lucca lost to San Martino di Lupari 75-60 after confirming that they lost a key player for the season. The league newcomers are the only teams without wins and Jasmine Dickey and Crema looked to change that with a more complete lineup, but were denied by Kathryn Westbeld and Moncalieri 63-62. Campobasso edged Ragusa 74-72. The presumed top two teams had their full set of options for their matchup to close the day and it was Schio that was stronger right after halftime to get a 76-71 win over Bologna.
