The start of the season has included several fantastic early matchups and this round opened on Saturday with Avenida bouncing back from their last game with a 79-63 win over Valencia. Blanca Millan and Ensino could not pull off a second straight upset, losing to Girona 75-54. Barcelona was looking to knock off one of the more established teams in the league, but Gernika recovered in the second half for a 79-70 win. Ibaeta won 77-72 at Sedis after forcing overtime. Estudiantes had a strong fourth quarter to win 75-60 over Araski. Zaragoza got contributions up and down the lineup in an 81-65 win over Gran Canaria. Both Sunday games were rare late night affairs and one went even later with Jairis fighting back to force overtime and then taking the lead for good to win 83-75 over Bembibre. Leganes left Tenerife with a 66-63 win.
