The last game from Round 1 was played on Wednesday after it was moved for Gernika’s continental qualifier and they lost to their Basque Country neighbors Araski 73-61 thanks to Txell Alarcon, despite the best efforts of Julie Wojta. This round started on Thursday with Valencia’s 79-72 win over Estudiantes. Saturday started with a surprise as Ibaeta won 83-70 against Aleksandra Crvendakic and Avenida. Erin Whalen paced Bembibre in a 78-71 win over Gernika. Binta Drammeh and Girona rolled past Khayla Pointer and Leganes 100-70. The traditional Sunday noon game in Zaragoza went to the hosts 68-50 over Tenerife. Barcelona managed to grind out a 47-42 win over Sedis in the second half. In Lugo, Ensino came back to edge Jairis 56-55. Petra Holesinska and Gran Canaria ended the weekend with an 82-67 win at Araski.
