The round started on Wednesday with the local rivalry game and Sara Blicavs was brilliant for Southside in an 88-70 win over Melbourne. On Thursday, young Isobel Borlase had another impressive scoring game alongside veteran Jacinta Monroe in Adelaide’s 93-68 win over Tianna Hawkins and Townsville. Southside rolled to another win on Friday this time behind Kayla Thornton and Maddison Rocci with a 118-72 final margin against Bendigo. Canberra was looking for their first win again on Saturday, but Lauren Nicholson and Townsville left with a 77-62 win after getting the better of the second half. Lauren Scherf could not be stopped in Perth’s 75-64 win over Sydney. Melbourne finished the week in first place after Kristy Wallace and Cayla George led them to an 88-79 win over Kelsey Griffin, Ally Wilson, and Bendigo on Sunday.
